Logo VOORwerk webUTRECHT: On 9 May representatives from COA, IOM and UAF launched a new integration project: VOORwerk. VOORwerk offers information, training and individual guidance to permit holders residing in the reception centers to reduce the gap to the labour market in the Netherlands. The participating reception centers are located in Alkmaar, Assen, Baexem, Dronten, Grave, Hoogeveen, Luttelgeest, Overloon, Utrecht en Weert.

Permit holders will be prepared through special training modules to successfully enter the Dutch labour market. The training covers cultural differences as well as useful skills for finding a job in the Netherlands.

Request for cooperation to local companies and agencies

As part of the project, local networks are established with companies and organizations, enabling permit holders to voluntarily practice what they learn during the training. COA, IOM and UAF collaborate with partners to promote employment

3 logos pngCOA, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Foundation for Refugee Students (UAF) are working together to help refugees find jobs. A job provides an important contribution to the successful integration of refugees and offers them a chance to gain financial independence. Refugees are often eager to start working. By bundling experiences and expertise, COA, IOM and UAF aim to offer them the best possible start.
