VOORwerk offers information, training and individual consultation to permit holders that are residing in COA-reception centres nationwide. The aim of the support is to reduce the gap between the permit holders and the Dutch labour market.
In the framework of VOORwerk, permit holders receive training to prepare them for a successful entry into the Dutch labour market. The training focusses on personal 'soft skills', cultural differences, and demonstrates how to apply for and keep a job in the Netherlands.
As part of the project, local networks are established with companies and organizations, enabling permit holders to voluntarily practice what they learn during the training.
VOORwerk is a cooperation between the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers (COA) and Foundation for Refugee Students (UAF). Project VOORwerk runs until November 2018.
The VOORwerk project is supported by the AMIF, the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund of the European Union.
