Residence permit holders residing in the asylum seekers centre in Overloon visited a metal suppliers in Venray, Limburg. Similar visits currently take place nationwide, to prepare migrants to enter the Dutch labour market.
These visits to Dutch employers are part of IOM’s project VOORwerk, a collaboration with the Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers (COA) and Foundation for Refugee Students (UAF). In Venray, the participants received advice on how to apply for a job, how to set up their own company and the importance of certain personal qualities when applying for a job.
