Movie&Debate 3rd Edition on 27 September: "The Invisible City [Kakuma]" at Humanity House

Movie&Debate 3rd Edition on 27 September: "The Invisible City [Kakuma]" at Humanity House

Kakuma refugee camp, in north-west Kenya, is the fastest growing city in the region. It is one of the toughest places on earth. Many new arrivals are children sent out of conflict zones by their parents. Against all odds, these children grab all opportunities in the camp to rebuild their lives.

Film maker Lieven Corthouts made the camp his home for four years. In his film he unveils the accomplishments the campís inhabitants and the true dynamics of a refugee settling. Can Kakuma really offer a future? Or is it just a waiting room, where the only option is to plan your journey to Europe?
By screening "The Invisible City [Kakuma]" IOM wants to contribute to the contemporary discourse on migration and invites you to actively participate.

On Wednesday 27 September IOM the Netherlands is showing The Invisible City [Kakuma] at the Humanity House, The Hague. You are welcome to join the screening of the film followed by a Q&A session with Lieven Corthouts. This will be the 3rd edition of a recurring Movie&Debate event at the Humanity House and part of IOMís Global Migration Film Festival.

Admission to Movie&Debate is free. Due to a limited number of seats, you have to register online from 21 August onwards. So keep an eye on our website, facebook and twitter.
